cheeky chap Lembit Opik is now in charge of the Lib Dems’ housing portfolio. He turned up to the standing committee that examines this crucial issue all fired up and ready to go. There was just one problem. MPs can’t just turn up to any old standing committee . They have to be selected. Mr Opik was invited to leave the room.
