PARLIAMENTARY cheek of the year award goes to Robert Flello, the Labour MP for Stoke-on-Trent South, who last year “talked out” and therefore destroyed a Private Member’s Bill attempting to give protection to 1.4 million agency and temporary workers. Last week, after Gordon Brown gave the wink and relaxed voting against a similar attempt by Andrew Miller, the Number 10 lackey not only voted in favour but barged himself to the front of the MPs’ celebratory photo opportunity after the vote was won and the Bill got a second reading.
