I agree with Robert. This weekend the unions had a marvellous opportunity to drag New Labour back from the right, but apparently they didn't bother, so that ed Balls could boast to the audience on radio 4s World This Weekend yesterday that the unions had accepted Labours (or should we say multimillionaire investment banker David Freud's)welfare reforms.

No wonder people are bored by the unions - they have no teeth these days and like Labour Mps no backbone. Why is everyone so scared of Brown? He is a dead man walking.

Then why are the Unions not stopping the Welfare reforms and not allow the most venerable to be pushed onto lower benefits, because Union have something else to ask for.

The Unions we have today are getting more and more like the Unions of America in fact some have run and joined this gang of Mafia run groups. little wonder they only have thousands and not millions of members, I'd not waste my money anymore and I've been in a Union for 43 years, but at least my Union the GMB have the guts to fight for Remploy while the TUC sat on it's arse demand it's own 30 bits of silver. Cowards.
