STILL wearing a beard is Hemsworth MP Jon Trickett, who brought the house down at the Tribune/Unison/Compass rally. Mr Trickett has discovered what happened to the Militant Tendency. Quoting from the Daily Express’ recent “Don’t Let the Spivs Destroy Britain” issue, and noting the nationalisation of mortgage lenders Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac in the United States, he exclaimed: “Is it true that the Militant have taken control of the Daily Express, the Republican Party and the presidency?”
