Surely Tribune is a perfect candidate for becoming a totally online publication, with PDF downloads for personal printing. Especially since its survival is at stake.

It never did take advantage of the skills and ideals of its unique readership to promote its ideals online. Hopefully it won't have paid the price.

Long time reader and occasional contributor willing to find cheque book but like others would like more information about possible models for survival.

I don't know if anyone here has read Liberator magazine (a monthly Liberal/Lib Dem magazine). That's run by a volunteer collective and has published for years. Ideally Tribune can be saved as a weekly with a full time journalistic staff, but if that isn't possible, perhaps it can be kept going in some way.

Good luck. I have been reading Tribune for at least thirty years - cannot let your magazine fold without offering help. So, I am ready to assist with a contribution of £500 towards co-operative ownership. As Martin Bright asks, can you explain the nature of the contribution? Harvey Ward

I shall immediately renew my own subscription as for some time I have shared with another - we are both favorable to the cooperative idea. Has anyone explored the total publishing of it in the same way as the local Kent paper (KOS) is published on the web - no printed edition but just like a newspaper - that works well it seems but it has a lot of adverts. Best wishes Leslie Turner

I remember the heroic experiment of City Limits. Good luck to you. I agree that the Co-Operative movement should be persuaded to get involved.

Would the £500 be a donation? I think it would be good to make it clear what this commitment would mean.

I am happy to assist as well in making a financial contribution to ensure that Tribune continues its valuable role.

We cannot stand by and let Tribune close without a fight.

I think that co-operative ownership is a good idea. I am willing to combine with others to make a financial contribution.

Like others who have left comments, I'd be very pleased to support the co-operative idea. The two Alexes have good thoughts. Wishing you all the very best.
