A LEADING headteacher has expressed the hope that something good might come out of the present financial disaster. Vicky Tuck thinks there is a chance that economic calamity might mean people will become less materialistic, heralding the end of the “me, me, me society”. Ms Tuck is head of the exclusive £25,000-a-year Cheltenham Ladies College. Will she take a moral lead in this march towards decency and egalitarianism by opening her doors to young women from more humble backgrounds and perhaps a few impoverished young gentlemen looking for a hand up, not a hand out?
