THE public mood in Britain and America is ripe for some sort of action against offshore tax havens. But how far will Barack and Gordon go? As the President observed, there is one building alone in the Cayman Islands that houses 10,000 US companies. As he said, that’s either a gigantic building or a gigantic scam. More may be revealed after their April 1 meeting in London. They could announce the abolition of tax havens on that morning. Just to see how it goes down?
