BRITISH MEP Tom Wise and his researcher were this week charged with money-laundering and false accounting. Mr Wise represents East Anglia but was actually elected in 2009 as a member of the UK Independence Party. UKIP decided to sever its ties with him after he bragged about his life of freeloading to someone who turned out to be a reporter for the News of the World. Sometimes you wonder if swivel-eyed Europhobes are quite as opposed to the Brussels gravy train as they say they are.
