IT entrepreneur and friend of the Prince’s Trust, Duane Jackson, is marketing a software package called The Ministry of Accounting, for all your moral dilemmas. Designed by Mr Jackson’s firm Kashflow – no pun intended – the system is even customised in House of Commons colours. And you can get it on exes. But don’t get too excited. “There won’t be any categories for dog food, swimming pools or gardeners,” says Mr Duane. With shared access available it will be impossible for MPs to get away with these ridiculous expenses claims. “MPs are generally not business people. This software allows them to avoid cumbersome paperwork and allows them to get on with the job of running the country.” God forbid.
