Edward Macmillan-Scott, the former vice-president of the European parliamentary party claims he was “hounded and pilloried” out of the party after raising objections to its alliance with the hard-right ragbag he, rather understating the point, claims have “homophobic links”. Mr Macmillan-Scott told the Sunday Telegraph that the Tory leader had decided to make an example of him to encourage others not to rock the boat and that he was the victim of a “Damian McBride-style” smear campaign. Whatever next?
