Over at the Fabian Society’s Next Left blog, Sunder Katwala thinks we should be rude to Lord Ashcroft.
He says:
[A] peerage remains a significant public honour which reflects an important measure of esteem in our political community.
[...]
So, as a small and symbolic mark of disrespect, this blog will henceforth refer to the non-dom billionaire as Not-Lord Ashcroft.
An interesting proposal, although one we probably won’t be taking up here at Tribune. Not yet at least…
