The people’s pullover

Something has changed on the Labour Party’s leadership website, and we can’t say for certain that all is well.

Yes folks, candidate John McDonnell’s scarlet red v-neck jumper has made a surreptitious appearance, after he was pictured on the same site yesterday wearing a suit and tie. Nobody else seems to have changed their picture.

Perhaps this is symbolic of Mr McDonnell’s desire to see the party make a shift left from the politics of New Labour. While I would like to cautiously welcome this iconoclastic move, I think it is worth taking stock. Firstly, the suit look wasn’t bad at all. It was a good photo! Secondly, this kind of thing has all been tried before, and without the effect that McDonnell presumably desires.

Perhaps you should have tried it, when going for Woking.

I do not care if they go around nude it’s the dam policies these people will have that matters, I want to know what they are going to do, at the moment people have given up on Labour, it’s going to take more then the clothes they wear to get Labour back into a position to win. I can see Labour being out of power now for a generation, because to be fair it will take that long for people to forget Blair and especially Brown
