Vince Cable was accused of being anti-business after venturing a mild criticism of “murky” corporate practices.

Murky corporate practices are what business is all about, some might say. Intriguingly, Downing Street officials said they were “happy” with what the Business Secretary had to say, while former Liberal Democrat leader Menzies Campbell said Mr Cable’s comments were “not the words” he would have used.

Presumably he was being critical, unless the words Sir Ming would have used are that corporate spivs should be locked up.
