Vinnie Cable’s murky criticism

Vince Cable was accused of being anti-business after venturing a mild criticism of “murky” corporate practices.

Murky corporate practices are what business is all about, some might say. Intriguingly, Downing Street officials said they were “happy” with what the Business Secretary had to say, while former Liberal Democrat leader Menzies Campbell said Mr Cable’s comments were “not the words” he would have used.

Presumably he was being critical, unless the words Sir Ming would have used are that corporate spivs should be locked up.

People will keep talk about regulating the bankers, the spivs and the wideboys in the financial sector, but when will someone actually do something about it. Cable is making noises. But thats as far he is going to get. We want to see some action.
